Privacy policy for the PassengerGuard app available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Thank you for your interest in our PassengerGuard app. The protection of your personal data is very important to us, and we would therefore like to inform you about the nature, scope and purposes of the collection and use of your data.

1) Controller of the Data Processing

The controller responsible for data processing within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is PassengerGuard UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Holzstrasse 5, 44575 Castrop-Rauxel, Germany (hereinafter "we" or "us"). 2) Collection and Use of Personal Data

We collect and use personal data only within the framework of applicable laws and only when it is necessary for the provision of our app. When you use our app, we collect the following data:

  • Payment data (e.g. name, address, credit card information)

We use this data to provide you with the services you have requested and to improve our app. Your payment data is used by us exclusively for processing payments.

5) Google Analytics

On our website we use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses cookies that are stored on your device and enable an analysis of your use of our website. The use of Google Analytics is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The storage of cookies by Google Analytics can be prevented by setting your browser software accordingly.

Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information about the use of our website and transmits it to Google servers in the USA. The following information is generally collected:

  • Pages accessed on the website
  • Time spent on individual pages
  • Country and city of origin of the visitor
  • Type of device (desktop, tablet, smartphone)

We have configured Google Analytics so that users' IP addresses are anonymised before being transmitted to Google. No merging of the IP address with other data from Google takes place.

Sharing Data with Third Parties

We only share your data with third parties if this is legally required or if we have received your consent to do so. In some cases, we work with external service providers who process your data on our behalf. These service providers are contractually obliged to process your data only in accordance with our instructions and to take appropriate security measures.
